Abstract
Many tissues undergo poor natural regeneration following injury or disease and the reparative healing process can lead to tissues that are functionally inferior and prone to re-injury. Regenerative medicine aims to induce natural tissue regeneration and thereby improve the clinical outcome. This chapter will focus on those products that have been derived from horse’s own tissues or fluids that are aimed at achieving improved outcome in the treatment of musculoskeletal disease, probably more accurately termed ‘orthobiologicals’.
